8. TheDream.Us National Scholarship

The theDream.US scholarship program exists to help 6,000 Hispanics or Latino graduate from college with career-ready degrees. These students are usually immigrant students who get into the US to this at a very young age without documentation.

Despite any odds, these students receive no financial support and aid to go to college and have limited access to state aid, to help them face paying out-of-state tuition. They usually offer two scholarships.

One, the National Scholarship, solely for is for high school or community college graduates. Two, the Opportunity Scholarship, which is merely for students who live in targeted, locked-out states where they cannot get in-state tuition.

This scholarship is merely for Hispanic women. The scholarship is available to college-bound women of international backgrounds who will be entering any college or university in the United States.

Selected scholars are awarded $1000 to help offset the cost of tuition, books, and living expenses. Other awards may be disbursed as well, as funds are available. The women also have an opportunity for mentorship support, which is available upon request.

The women may choose to be paired with a board member for guidance in clarifying and focusing on professional and personal goals. They also benefit from these board members’ experiences, and skill-sets, in order to help them achieve their objectives.

The Red Thread Foundation scholarship aims to provide these scholars with the opportunity to inspire and share tips and experiences with younger college-bound women.
