3. TELACU Education Foundation Scholarship

This is one of the scholarships for Hispanic students where the applicants entering college as first-year students are eligible to apply for an Award that can be renewed for up to four years.

Students are eligible for renewal if: they have maintained a minimum 2.75 GPA, attended school full-time for the entire academic year, and attended all events and Sessions conducted by the Program (Scholars attending school out of state or in the local area are not required to attend in person).

Students who have volunteered a minimum of 20 hours of community service will be enrolled full-time for the entire academic year. To participate, submit a renewal application and participate in a renewal interview

4. Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution. Cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, room, board, books, and transportation, and may include other personal costs.

6. La Unidad Latina Foundation

The La Unidad Latina Foundation scholarship makes sure all students who start college, finish college by providing scholarships for Hispanic students directly to them when they need it most.

Thiers is an annual national scholarship program for undergraduate and graduates Hispanic and  Latino students. They awards grants ranging from $500 to $2,000 per recipient to lessen the financial burden.

7. LULAC National Scholarship Fund

8. TheDream.Us National Scholarship

The theDream.US scholarship program exists to help 6,000 Hispanics or Latino graduate from college with career-ready degrees. These students are usually immigrant students who get into the US to this at a very young age without documentation.

Despite any odds, these students receive no financial support and aid to go to college and have limited access to state aid, to help them face paying out-of-state tuition. They usually offer two scholarships.

One, the National Scholarship, solely for is for high school or community college graduates. Two, the Opportunity Scholarship, which is merely for students who live in targeted, locked-out states where they cannot get in-state tuition.

The eligibility for either depends on where you live. Applications are open to immigrant students who qualify for in-state tuition at any of their partner Colleges to receive this scholarship.

They also offer an online college option. The Scholarship ranges from $16,500 for an associate’s degree and $33,000 for a bachelor’s degree.

GMiS stands for Great Minds in Stem. The scholarship program tries to inspire and motivate students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

They also try to enlighten and engage families, educators, communities, and employers to assist these students in pursuing careers in STEM, with the aim to inspire the nation through recognition of the achievements of Hispanics and Latinos.

Other organizations in STEM  also enable and leverage Hispanic STEM talent to play roles in the educational system. These organizations collaborate and cooperate nationally within the STEM community to provide these privileges for students.

10. Red Thread Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is merely for Hispanic women. The scholarship is available to college-bound women of international backgrounds who will be entering any college or university in the United States.

Selected scholars are awarded $1000 to help offset the cost of tuition, books, and living expenses. Other awards may be disbursed as well, as funds are available. The women also have an opportunity for mentorship support, which is available upon request.

The women may choose to be paired with a board member for guidance in clarifying and focusing on professional and personal goals. They also benefit from these board members’ experiences, and skill-sets, in order to help them achieve their objectives.

The Red Thread Foundation scholarship aims to provide these scholars with the opportunity to inspire and share tips and experiences with younger college-bound women.
