1. India Rotary Youth Exchange Program

The Indian culture is very vast and comes with a lot of adventure while immersing yourself in it within a short time. Rotary has provided this Short Term INTER STATE Youth Exchange Program for students to have the opportunity to come to India stay with a rotary family in another State in India and learn a lot from this 2nd most populated country.

Traveling changes people’s perspective, and so will it happen to your child, he/she will be made an ambassador for your state and will be privileged to make friends with a completely different set of people that they never knew a few days ago. Students from the age of 15 to 19 years are eligible to apply regardless of their color, creed, caste, and gender, and the program lasts for 4 to 6 weeks.

2. Amrita Center for International Programs

This is one of the exchange programs in India for international students that want to live and study in the country for one or two semesters. This exchange program is focused on students that want to study Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Ayurveda (ancient Indian study of medicine), Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Arts and Sciences, Education, Communication/Journalism, and Social Work.

There are some specific institutions that are collaborating with Amrita to send their students to India. There will be no tuition fee required for students coming from Amrita’s partner schools, but these students need to cover their accommodation, lab/facility charges, feeding, and trips.

3. UCEAP – New Delhi Summer

This is another exchange program that connects Indian and International Students together, to learn more about the politics, culture, economics, history, and sociology of India. This is a 6-week summer program where participants will have the opportunity to spend 4 weeks on campus and 2 weeks in community service in rural Rajasthan.

Students will also involve in program trips to the breathtaking Taj Mahal and the Pink City of Jaipur. Believe me, none of your time in this country will be boring.  

4. Kent State University – India 

Kent State University has a very long history of student exchange programs in India, and you have to pay your normal tuition to your home institution. KSU has 15 active exchange programs, and all exchange students have the same right to equivalent programs Kent State students have.

The duration of the program is not more than 2 semesters, but students need to submit proof for the English proficiency test whether TOEFL or IELTS result. 

5. International Relation – University of Delhi 

The University of Delhi is one of India’s colleges that offers various means of education to international students, and exchange programs are one of those means. Registered students in colleges partnering with DU that wish to study in the college for one or two semesters are welcome. But they have to be nominated by their home institution, and their tuition fee is paid to the home institution.

6. Young Scholars Programme – Ashoka University

This is one of the India student exchange programs that expose high school students to liberal arts education. The exchange program will only last for 5 days, but the impact on high school students will be noteworthy, as participants experience 10 different disciplines.

The program is broken down into 5 categories which are; lectures, workshops, discussion groups, project-work, presentations, and performances. Eligible students have to be in either Class 9, 10, 11, or 12.

7. Flame University Summer Immersion Program

This is also another student exchange program in India for high school students to gain a first-hand understanding of liberal education. The training is mixed with both academic and non-academic courses, the aim is to provide a solid foundation for these high school students to succeed in university.

This program is eligible for high school students in their 9th, 10th, or 11th grade, who must be a minimum of 14 years old, and can be residents of any country. The cost of attending the exchange program is INR 50,000.

8. Aspire India Scholars Programme (AISP)

This is one of the student exchange programs in India that is for high school students and can be completed within 10 days. But within this short period, these students will be able to learn new things, make new friends, and have fun.

The program is designed for high school students in their 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade studying in schools within India. The program is categorized into 5 sessions, which include; Thematic Workshops, Skills Workshops, Career Sessions, Project, and Gaming/Activity Zone.

The cost for the program is Rs. 30,000.

9. The Doon School – Summer at Doon

This is an annual student exchange program in India, hosted by The Doon School for high school students in grades 9 to 12 which is focused on building their leadership skills. Students will be learning in different ways, whether by teaching, participating in debates, making inquiries, practical assessments, teamwork, and self-reflection.

The participants will also be involved in sports, adventures, and social services. The program will only last for 2 weeks.
