Do you want to learn how to get a scholarship for theological studies in Korea? This post not only answers this question but also goes on to guide you on how you can get either the fully-funded or partially-funded scholarship to study theology in South Korea.
Theology is a discipline that is gradually gaining worldwide interest because it answers many questions related to divinity and the Christian religion. Religion, just like many others, is plagued with various questions and confusion that theology clarifies in a much simpler way.
Thus, a lot of people concerned or attached with the Christian religion go on to study theology and later go on becoming church ministers, social workers, charity organization/foundation presidents, catholic priests, missionaries, etc.
The South Koreans aren’t much of a religious people but they still manage to offer theological programs, in fact, there are universities and colleges dedicated to theological teachings. These theological institutions equally admit students from all walks of life to enjoin in her theological teachings.
However, as an international student coming to Korea for the first time the language will be an issue unless you already learned the language beforehand, if not, that is going to become a barrier. The main language here isn’t English but some of these theological institutions have their classes in the local language and English as well.
In the course of your research contact your host institution asking if they offer classes in the English language, you have to do this before applying for admission. But if you already know the language then you don’t need to.
The scholarship for theological studies in Korea listed in this article is for every student both domestic and international ones.
