Hi there, today I came with a list that will surely interest you as an African or international student who wants to study in the best universities in Africa. Here is a list of the best universities in Africa for medicine. These Universities accepts students from anywhere around the world if only such student can meet up with there admission criteria.
Medicine is one among the many courses that are very demanding because society understands what it means to confide their lives into the hands of a certain man/woman who possibly is possed to be a “Doctor”.
Doctors are usually thoroughly trained not just on academics but also on behaviour.
It is because of the nature of the job that medical personnel do, that intending medical students seek the best medical universities in any location before applying for enrollment.
In Africa, the search for good medical universities is on the rise as people are now putting more attention on the training background of doctors and it’s on this ground that they decide how much trust to give these doctors.
As an intending medical student from Africa, it could be beautiful to seek to study abroad but honestly, you can still receive a good medical education here in Africa.
It could be very costly studying medicine abroad, though a scholarship can help you cut cost, there is a lot of competition for the little available scholarships so I advise it would be better to always have a plan B.
Some of these international scholarships are even one-off, that is to say, you are only given the money once. So what happens to your tuition fees the next year? This is why it is better to analyse scholarship opportunities properly to make sure you can carry on or better still, look towards some of the best medical universities in Africa where you are sure of taking care of the tuition fees as they are far cheaper.
Anyway, if you are lucky to secure a fully-funded scholarship abroad, congratulations! Studying abroad possibly would expose you more to the field.
Earlier, I wrote on the 10 best universities in Germany to study medicine, you may want to take a look at the article to broaden your options more.
Here, for those who have more interest or maybe are also considering studying in China, I have a list of the best universities in China for medicine.
Cutting the list down to country-specific rating, I have an article on medical schools in South Africa so should your interest be found more in South Africa then you can take a look at the list.
There are also several medical scholarships for both current and intending medical students and we usually put these opportunities together in a list like the medical scholarships for international students in Canada and the more homely list of medical scholarships for African students abroad.
Here, I want to talk about the best universities in Africa for medicine and I believe this would help you in decision making if you want to study in one of the best medical schools in Africa.

Your list is not credible as there were no criteria on which it is based. You simply picked them based on your own preferences or personal knowledge. There is not a single university on this list from any of the top schools in North Africa. What about South Africa…no medical top schools there?
So you should change the headline of your article to “My Personal List of Med Schools in Africa”. They are actually good suggestions, but please do not call them the Top 5 as if you did some kind of scientific study.
