Well here are we putting you out of the dark…
What is Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS)?
EDS is a group of inherited disorders that affects or weakens the connective tissue supporting the skin, joints, bone, walls of the blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, and many other organs and tissues.
Defects in connective tissues cause the signs and symptoms of these conditions which range from mildly loose joints to life-threatening complications.
Does Ehlers Danlos Syndrome qualify for disability?
There are stages of EDS, and if you have the mild one which allows you to work then you may not qualify for disability benefits.
However, if you are unable to work due to severe symptoms from it you will be qualified as disabled and also for other disability benefits including the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplementary Security Income (SSI).
We have an already published article about the disability benefits above, that is, the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplementary Security Income (SSI).
